Clean, modern lines offer an elegant canvas for events of all shapes and sizes

Napa, Calif. – April 13, 2017 – The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Copia, the ultimate Napa Valley destination for exploring, CIA at Copia partyexperiencing, and enjoying the world of food and wine, is also the ideal location for any type of private event, from weddings and rehearsal dinners, to conferences, board meetings, and receptions. With endlessly customizable spaces; a full-service event kitchen; and onsite furniture, dinnerware, and linens, CIA at Copia’s expert staff takes the stress and guesswork out of planning any size event.

The CIA at Copia facility features a clean, contemporary, two-story design with views of the garden in front and the Napa River in the back. The 80,000-square-foot facility offers a wide range of event space options, including a beautiful outdoor amphitheater, a spacious indoor atrium, private dining rooms, an AV-enabled boardroom, a movie theater, a kitchen demo space, and much more.

“The spaces at CIA at Copia are completely customizable, and the understated design lends itself as easily to elegance as to whimsy,” said Amy Thomason-Richardson, CIA at Copia interior who oversees event sales for the CIA. “Every client is matched with an event coordinator to guide them through the planning process. Our goal is to make it as easy as possible for our clients, and we’re here to plan everything for you—the food, the equipment rental, the cake, and even the flowers.”

To provide a customized food experience, CIA at Copia has a full-service event kitchen managed by Chef Todd Meyerhoffer that operates independently from the kitchen for The Restaurant at CIA Copia. Chef Meyerhoffer, who was previously the executive chef of the Wine Spectator Greystone Restaurant at the CIA at Greystone in St. Helena, can work with clients to create everything from passed hors d’oeuvres and buffets, to sit-down meals and wedding cakes. CIA at Copia boasts its own bar and can serve wine and cocktails until as late as 2 a.m.—a rarity in Napa Valley.

The event spaces at CIA at Copia include:

Atrium: The light-filled, modern atrium, located in the center of the building, is available for evening receptions and can accommodate groups of up to 1,000 guests in a standing reception or up to 400 for a seated dinner. If combined with the outdoor amphitheater, even more guests can be accommodated.

Amphitheater: The terraced and grassy amphitheater that overlooks the Napa River seats 700 in rows or 375 at tables. The amphitheater is the perfect location for scenic weddings and concerts.

Private Dining Rooms: The first floor at CIA at Copia has three private dining spaces. One is an enclosed dining room that seats 12, with a view of the garden. The other two dining rooms CIA at Copia private dining roomseat 20 each, and can be combined to seat 40 or more. They are ideal for rehearsal dinners, brunches or meetings. All dining rooms contain AV equipment and
wi-fi.

The Boardroom: This second-floor meeting space seats 24 around a large table with comfortable office chairs. There is reception space for 50 on the adjacent balcony overlooking the Napa River. The room offers AV equipment and wi-fi.

Napa Valley Vintners Theater: A state-of-the-art culinary demonstration and wine tasting theater with stadium-style seating that seats 72.

Main Theater: Ideal for movie screenings, speakers’ series, and panel presentations, with stadium-style seating for up to 250.

Mezzanine: The mezzanine on the second floor, with its “modern treehouse” style, can host an event for up to 200 seated or 350 people for a reception.

Garden Overlook: This second-floor open space can accommodate up to 60 people for a reception, with an adjoining balcony for al fresco dining.

Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum: This large museum space will be available for events when it opens in late 2017.

Gardens: The outdoor gardens at the entrance to CIA at Copia are available for receptions and seated events.
