CIA AT COPIA ADDS ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS
TO ITS PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE
Napa’s one-stop destination for food and wine now also offers
music, arts, and entertainment
Napa, Calif. – (August 16, 2017) – The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) at Copia, the ultimate Napa Valley destination for exploring, experiencing, and enjoying the world of food and wine, has packed its summer and fall schedule with an array of music, arts, shopping, and dining events for every taste and price point. CIA at Copia’s community events are an addition to its regularly scheduled cooking classes and wine tastings.
Community events kick off at CIA at Copia on Saturday, August 19, with a free outdoor concert in the beautiful Jackson Family Wines Amphitheater. Additional events will run throughout the year, with more being added monthly. Below are CIA at Copia events scheduled through October.
Concerts in the Jackson Family Wines Amphitheater
Aqua Velvets—Saturday, Aug. 19, 2 – 5 p.m. (free for all ages)
Willie K—Saturday, Sept. 16, 6 – 8 p.m. ($35 per person)
Candela—Saturday, Sept. 30, 5 – 8 p.m. (free for all ages)
Food Events
Ciderfest, featuring free live music and ticketed cider tastings from producers across the United States—Sunday, Sept. 3, 12 – 5 p.m. ($35 for 10 tastings)
Beer Dinner with Mad Fritz Brewing Co., featuring bluegrass music, appetizers and a family-style meal with beer pairings—Tuesday, Oct. 3, 6 – 9 p.m. ($95 per person)
Oktoberfest, featuring free live music, Bavarian food and drink, and great times—Saturday, Oct. 14, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. (priced per tasting)

Shakespeare in the Park—Shakespeare Napa Valley presents A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Author Events
Wine Country Women of Napa Valley, a special pre-release reception and panel discussion for the new book, Wine Country Women of Napa Valley, with author Michelle Mandro and more than 50 of the women included in the book—Sunday, Sept. 24, 4 – 6:30 p.m. ($35 per person)
The Store at CIA Copia Events
Fleur Candle & Amanda Wright Pottery Trunk Show—Saturday, Sept. 16, 12 – 4 p.m. (free)

More Activities at CIA at Copia
In addition to attending classes and demos, visitors will find much to do at the CIA at Copia, including daily wine tasting in the Tasting Showcase, dining, book signings, and browsing culinary and wine collections. Shoppers won’t want to miss The Store at CIA Copia, featuring an extensive collection of cookbooks by CIA faculty, alumni, and guest chefs, as well as artisanal food products, cookware, glassware, one-of-a-kind pottery, and more. The Restaurant at CIA Copia is a destination for innovative, market-based, globally inspired, California cuisine that pairs perfectly with Napa Valley wines and craft cocktails. Throughout the property, guests will find culinary artifacts, museum collections, and one-of-a-kind sculptures, which are open to the public and can be viewed at no charge. The Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum and a state-of-the-art teaching kitchen are slated to open in early 2018.
CIA at Copia is also the ideal location for private food and wine events, from an intimate wedding in the amphitheater to a cocktail reception in the atrium, or an industry conference that commands the entire building.
