Our team is growing! We are thrilled to introduce our new Public Relations Director, Jane Ablaza. Jane brings strategic counsel, creative direction and integrative marketing communications knowledge to Ellipses. With years of experience in hospitality and consumer lifestyle PR, Jane has represented and launched some of the Bay Area’s leading restaurants, hotels and consumer brands. 1. I first knew I wanted to be in PR when: I secured my first piece of coverage in the San Francisco Chronicle. It was a great feeling to  go from endless emails to a beautiful piece of print coverage.
2. My dream client would be: I have a deep appreciation for any Bay Area based company, whether it’s food, travel, or lifestyle. I’d love to work for them all!
3. If I weren’t in PR, I would be: a floral designer
4. My biggest PR horror story is: Seeing RSVPs drop for a client event. But we made it work!
5. My first job was: Barnes & Noble and Express
6. My biggest professional accomplishment so far is: seeing how far I’ve come. I didn’t know much about PR when I joined a small agency years ago as an intern. And now, I’m working for one of the top boutique agencies in the city!

8. My biggest pet peeve: dishes in the sink…grrrr.

17. The best thing about the Bay Area is: the food scene. So many new restaurants to try.
