The Situation: The Wydown Hotel, a boutique hotel in St. Helena, Calif., wanted to create an informative, fun and effective email marketing program to promote both the property and St. Helena as a whole to its past and future guests.
The Solution: The Wydown worked with Ellipses to create the hotel’s first newsletter, In & Around the Wydown (which was named in a social media contest we created and managed). Owner Mark Hoffmeister tasked us with creating the look and feel of the newsletter, the sections, and the content itself.
The Results: In & Around the Wydown increased visibility and revenue for the hotel. Each newsletter went to the hotel’s 1,930+ subscribers, and netted an average open rate of 28.4%. Here are several examples from the first year of the program:
